My background is in communications and international relations. In June 2014, I graduated with first-class honors from the University of Dundee with an MA (Hons) in International Relations and History. Before that, I completed an apprenticeship as a Management Assistant in Marketing Communications with 4flow in Berlin.
I have gained professional experience as a communications intern with Ashoka México y Centroamérica in Mexico City, where I overhauled the social media strategy; as a journalism intern with The Local Germany, an English-speaking news website covering German politics and current affairs; and as a program coordinator for “Germany meets Slovenia,” a program run by the Institute for Cultural Diplomacy in Berlin.
As a student, I started dusamedia.com, the online arm of Dundee’s student media group, and sat on the Student Representatives Council. I was selected for a competitive student exchange program with Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, where I studied for a year. I was also honored for having written the best History undergrad dissertation in 2014, as my year’s best History student in 2011, and the best media contributor in 2013.
I have an unprofitable interest in current affairs, an unhealthy obsession with U.S. politics, and an insatiable appetite for living and traveling abroad.
